Warner Bros Pictures is now holding online auditions for kids for a lead role in the feature film “The Intern“. The movie is directed by Nancy Meyers and stars Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.
The film is about an owner of a fashion company hiring an elderly intern. While the two clash in the beginning they later create a bond as the intern turns into a mentor for the younger business owner.
Warner Bros is will distribute the film and the film has a 35 million dollar budget. The movie is a comedy and will be written and directed by Nancy Meyers (The Parent Trap, It’s Complicated). Meyers will also produce the film along with Scott Rudin. Reese Witherspoon was supposed to star in the movie but later backed out and seems that Anne Hathaway has taken her place. Casting for the rest of the roles in the movie is now underway and it will begin production later this year. It is scheduled to be released in theaters in 2015.
The movie is accepting video and online submissions via their website to fill a lead role for a kid to play a girl in the 4 to 6 year old age range. The Intern is accepting self submission videos from those wanting to try out for a chance to be cast in this great project.
