The Sing Off is a show that is running on NBC. It is a bit different from may other singing and talent competitions in that it is an a Capella contest where the only thing that matters is your voice and the harmony created by your group. Season 3 was recently cast for NBC during the summer months and we are all waiting to hear if the show will be back for a season 4, which we all hope it will.
The sing off was amazing in previous seasons and really showed off the natural talent of the competitors without the digital feel of so many other shows. The Sing Off was the only A Capella singing competition on television and hopefully the fans of the show made a place for it for the next few years (2012 and 2013) to come.
Singing A Capella is truly an art form and not a very easy thing for many to do. If you can, you should tryout with your group and show the casting directors and producers of the show that you and your crew have what it takes to compete for the big bucks and of course the big fame that comes with it..
The show is still accepting applications for singing groups that can harmonize and sound absolutely amazing without instrumental accompaniment.
The casting call for the Sing Off is still live and the show seems to be taking applications for more groups that would love to compete against other great singing groups on national television.
NBC’s “The Sing-Off” is looking for the best-of-the-best a cappella groups to audition for Season 3 of the hit series. Casting for the vocal competition show has amplified and expanded to five different U.S. cities over seven days to discover the most talented a cappella groups to compete for an opportunity to win $100,000 and a Sony Music recording contract.

I love The Sing Off.My 5 friends and I have a A Capella singing group. We perform at church functions, community events and Christmas Caroling. It really is a lot of fun and much harder to sing that way than it is with music behind you. You really have to hit every note correctly or everyone notices you made a mistake. Anyway, I hope The Sing Off comes back in 2012 for a new season so that our group can auditions and hopefully get into the competition.
