The Hunger Games 3 is coming to the big screen and fans of the book are really excited! Actually, the film is now shooting the third installment called Mockingjay.
The Hunger Games is a novel that is written by Suzanne Collins. The Hunger Games is being made into a feature film that is said to be a trilogy like other popular novels.
The Hunger Games films are based on the Suzanne Collins novels and the film is being shot as a trilogy. “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is already in theaters and Hunger Games Mocking jay will be split into 2 parts, a part 1 which will be released in 2014 and a part 2 which will come out in 2015. Both films are being shot back to back in Atlanta and Atlanta casting directors have been very busy releasing casting calls for extras for the Hunger Games movies.

The story line goes something like this:
Set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister’s place for the latest match.

- Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne

This movie has a great cast and will be a huge blockbuster for sure.
About the movie:
In a not-too-distant future, North America has collapsed, weakened by drought, fire, famine, and war to be replaced by Panem, a country divided into the Capitol and 12 districts. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, part brutal intimidation of the subjugated districts, the televised games are broadcast throughout Panem. The 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors, literally, with all citizens required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss’ young sister, Prim, is selected as the mining district’s female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her male counterpart Peeta, will be pitted against bigger, stronger representatives who have trained for this their whole lives.
This is a huge production with a great cast. The Hunger Games should be a great Sci Fi flick with tons of action and lots of extras. The books have sold millions of copies and I am sure that the movie version will do great as well.
