Many new movies will be shot in 2012 and all of them will need many, many extras, supporting roles, featured extras and photo doubles.
There are a few states in the US that shoot movies all the time. Those states include California, New Mexico, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Louisiana.
The latest big budget movie to hold a open casting call for Extras is “The Lone Ranger”. The Lone Ranger that is using the working title of the Silver Bullet is shooting out in the Santa Fe, New Mexico area beginning in early 2012. Actually, it is set to begin shooting in February of 2012 and it will continue with production into the summer.
The Lone Ranger is hiring many extras, background actors, stand-ins and photo doubles. All are paid roles and there is actually an open casting call scheduled for next week.

The Lone Ranger will star everyone’s fave pirate as ‘Tonto’. The movie will be a Walt Disney film. One think Walt Disney does is deliver huge budget, adventure films that everyone loves.
If you live in the Santa Fe, Albuquerque area you can in fact be a part of this production since they are hiring talent from the local New Mexico community.
The Lone Ranger is looking for actors and extras that fit into the following guidelines:
- Native Americans
- Asians
- Anglos
- Hispanics
- Trapeze and circus performers
- men with facial hair
- Women with long hair
- Horseback Riders
All ages are welcome and they need many extras from the area.
Anyone living in the area can attend the open casting call which is set for next week.
