We have all heard the news, The Fantastic 4 is getting a reboot. 20th Century FOX – Out with the old cast and in with a new younger cast. While details of who gets cast for what is not yet official, enough information has come out (through Twitter it seems) to ascertain that Kate Mara will replace Jessica Alba as Sue Storm, the invisible woman, Miles Teller may play the very stretchy Mr. Fantastic himself, Michael Jordan may be cast as Johnny, the human torch and Jamie Bell may play the “It’s Clobbering Time”, man of stone or as previous comics have called him, the Thing. IMDB is reporting those lead roles as already cast, but others supporting roles seem to still be up in the air and still going through the audition process.
The entertainment website Variety, has already reported the the four most likely been cast in the Fantastic 4 reboot or are very close to it. “The Fantastic Four” is scheduled for a June 19, 2015 release date.
The new film based on the comics will likely focus on the superheroes when they were younger. We can’t wait to see who the villain will be in this update. Rumor has it that Dr. Doom will return and that auditions for that role are already underway and a decision on who will play Victor (Dr. Doom) will be made within the next few weeks.
Josh Trank (Chronicle) will direct the reboot and the new script is being written by Simon Kinberg (Sherlock Holmes, X-Men The Last Stand). The film is supposed to be called ‘The Fantastic 4: reborn and will resemble the old comic story lines a bit more. The film is also rumored to more CGI effects then its predecessor (and the last film was chock full of CGI). There are plans to use computer animation entirely for the Thing, like the Hulk did do create that character. Much of this is speculation since it is still too early to know for sure, but those are the rumors.
OK, So this is not actually the new cast…
So Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd and Michael Chiklis are out and a brand new cast takes over hopefully with new story lines.
The film is currently in pre-production and casting stages since it is rumored to have a 2015 release, we would imagine that it will begin production shortly.
For those of you who would like to be extras and background for the new Fantastic 4 feature film, you will have to wait until production begins. Once filming begins, I’m sure there will be plenty of casting calls for extras, stand-ins, photo doubles, featured extras and others. The movie will be filming in Louisiana probably beginning in late summer. There will most likely be tons of opportunities for Louisiana residents to get into the film. We will keep you posted.
Other big releases for 2015 include the Sony Pictures re-make of “Goosebumps” and the Warner Bros new Peter Pan called “Pan“ (which by the way was holding open auditions to fill the lead role of Peter).

find out who (what production company) is directly in charge of the movie and email them. you can also find out what state the film is being shot in, contact that states film office and do it that way. usually, the respective film office will post where to send out resumes and such.
