“America’s Next Top Model” has removed the height requirements for cycle 22. Aspiring models, both short and tall, can now apply for the show.
For over 20 seasons short models have been left out of the competition but in 2015 they are finally able to apply to be on Top Model and actually be considered. The show has certainly been changing these last few years. The last cycle added male models to the competition and dropped the height requirement down to 5’6″. The new cycle will drop the height requirement completely and allow models of all heights to go after their dreams. Fans will have to wait until cycle 22 begins to see how the Tyra Banks series incorporates the petite models.
ANTM is now casting for cycle 22 and tryouts may be coming to a city near you very soon. The show will be holding auditions in various cities beginning in December and the current list of audition dates and locations may be found below.
So do you want to be on top? If you do, here is your chance to get on Top Model. Better start practicing your walks now because the first casting call will be coming to Fort Smith Arkansas in just a couple of weeks. The show will then be headed to California, Georgia, Ohio and Pennsylvania. More cities may also get added to the current schedule.
Here are a few of the requirements for cycle 22
- You must be 18 to 27 years of age at the time of application.
- Producers have removed the height requirement for all models on this cycle; however, Producers reserve the right to change this at any time, including returning to a height requirement. Participants may be all female, all male, or a mix of sexes, in Producers’ sole discretion.
- You must be a United States citizen and live in the United States. Producers reserve the right to make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

America’s Next Top Model 2015 – Cycle 22 Auditions Announced
I have always wanted to be on America’s Next Top model. I was just too young. I’m 19 now, but I will be turning 20 in December. I really think I have what it takes for me to become the Next Top Model. I want to show young ladies that it is possible to go for your dream even if its years later on down the line. If you can please keep me updated with the auditions I would greatly appericate it. Looking forward to being on the show.
I have always wanted to model. I just was told I’m to short. But I fit under petites according to my BMI. I’m so glad Tyra is looking for the potential in all shapes, forms and heights. Look at stars like Jada who have been told she’s to short. But the ambition in her, she wouldn’t give up. I have that same fire and ambition. I will never take a no, ty-ty your girl been waiting, you will not be in dissatisfaction at all. I want and need this chance to prove that us short girls have it to. You will not be disappointed. Thanks for giving everyone a fair run. Coming from pure paralysis to my almost normal self. It took me 8 out of the 12 months in the hospital to learn everything over again with a 18 month old baby I couldn’t do a thing for at the time. Now I’m taking care of her myself and my almost 2 year old. I have patience and I’m serious about what I want. Also willing to fight for it. I had to fight for my life. Now I’m ready to live and not fight. I so look at magazines and say I should be there. Finally giving us petites a chance feels like a dream inside of a dream. I’m short but I have tall hopes and I’m willing to jump if I have to, to reach the height of the taller competition. Whom if not Tyra, came up with the idea to give all sexes, and heights a chance gives me reasons to shoot for what I have wanted all along a fair chance.
Reply to Angela: Didn’t proofread was to excited.
I’ve missed the early year casting sign ups but you can be sure this coming submission will be on time. I’m 21 years old at the moment and 5’6″, have been waiting my entire life for the requirements to be lowered in height! I’m super excited and need all the support and prayers I can get 🙂
New too! Great luck to us all short.
I would like to audition.
